Copilot is grounded in the Bing index, so Bing organic strength lifts two surfaces at once — Copilot and ChatGPT search both lean on Bing. For technology and gaming brands the surface is disproportionately relevant: Copilot ships as the default assistant on the dominant desktop OS, in front of PC gamers and IT buyers. This project treats Bing and Copilot as a deliberate program, not a Google afterthought.
Why this, mechanically. Brands running systematic Copilot optimization report measurable results within 60–90 days, and Copilot favors pages that answer directly with clear authorship — cited passages are nearly twice as likely to use definitive language. Because Bing grounds ChatGPT search too, the same Bing coverage work pays on a surface most teams optimize for by accident.
Deliverable. Deliberate Bing SEO for priority content; Copilot presence built against its citation preferences (direct answers, clear authorship, definitive language); and first-party AI Performance data wired in per property.
Finish line. Bing coverage matches Google for cited content, and Copilot citation share is tracked and rising against baseline.
The first-party data half overlaps the measurement switch-on; the index-freshness plumbing is the infrastructure pipeline.
